Here’s a little history on how the scholarship fund came to be:

Jason was a dedicated, hard-working, caring, man who passed away unexpectedly in 2003 leaving behind many friends and family.  This scholarship was created to keep alive his memory and legacy of service, community-pride, passion and commitment to others.  Each year applicants at his alma mater compete for a one-time scholarship that is awarded to a deserving Tonawanda High School Senior who embodies the character of Jason.

Jason graduated third in his class from Tonawanda in 1988, went to college at Tri State University in Indiana and then to the University of Buffalo where he graduated with his degree in Civil Engineering.  Jason worked his way to becoming the Chief Engineer for the City of Tonawanda.  He took a great deal of pride in his work as he knew it was not only a reflection on him, but also on his community.  Outside of work, Jason spent countless hours involved in Tonawanda sports- coaching Girl’s Volleyball, working with the Football Boosters and the Football Clinic, while being the “Voice of the Warriors” for many years.  He was a man of a thousand interests: hockey, volleyball, golf, reading, cinema, Saturday morning cartoons, Sunday Night Football and a deep love for his family, friends and community.

This website was developed to connect the community he held so dear; giving those who cared for him an outlet, source of information and way to contribute to the scholarship formed in his memory.  Please feel free to browse the other pages to learn about our events, or share a memory, and if you choose to make a donation (or join us for the fundraiser this year) we thank you graciously for helping us continue a great tradition that came from an unexpected tragedy.
